The best camera, is the camera you have with you.

Forget camera loyalty. Forget brand affiliation. The best camera is the camera you have with you is the ‘old saying’. (although I don’t know who said it first, ol’Chase Jarvis seems to have coined it…)
For me. Wandering around with a big old pro body and long lenses whilst I’m off to the chip shop or to pick my lad up from the gym just doesn’t make sense.
I do however, have my little Fuji Xpro1 in the car and I’ve fallen in love with the silly litte plastic, fixed lense beauty that is the ‘campsnap’.
It drops in my pocket and because I know I’m not going to get a high quality, massive megapixel RAW file out of it that I can spend hours in lightroom, adding gradients and sharpening, I’m completely happy with what it pushes out.
It’s simple. On, shoot, off. There is a silly delay. Which I both love and loathe and its great for memory making or just strolling and seeing.
It’s great for everyday stuff. It’s great for just capturing moments.
For example. This little ‘moaning corner’ photo shot whilst I was working in Leicester, photographing the De Montfort Graduates portraits. We had a great little corner, some great buddies and whinged about the stairs, the lack of tea and how Monti (the boss) had better socks than us.. Thanks Chris Brudenell Photogrpahy. You make a great moaning buddy, see you at Bolton Uni.

I’ve got no afiliate links. Don’t get anything out of it. Just embrace the beauty of the ‘Campsnap’. (They had an upgrade.. Oooooh) https://www.campsnapphoto.com/
