Lets photograph some stuff..
Just reach out, tell me what we’re up to and we’ll work it out!
If it’s a commercial brief, the more info, the better. Too many times we’ve turned up only to waste time talking through things we could’ve prepped for instead of actually photographing what needs photographing.
Here’s what helps:
- End usage: is it for digital, print, or both?
- Orientation: landscape or portrait?
- Style: colour, black and white, or both?
- Subject matter: what are we shooting and why?
- Stakeholders: who’s involved, who’s approving, who needs to be in the shots?
- On-site dynamics : are people OK being photographed, or should we expect grumpy faces?
And then there’s logistics, don’t skip these!
- Is there parking?
- Any security procedures?
- Are risk assessments or method statements needed?
- Are contractor passes sorted?
- Are the gates even open?
We’ve shown up to sites where access was restricted, paperwork was missing, and… yes, gates were locked.
(Shoutout to the new CEO who found us a way in — under a security barrier, in heels and a trouser suit. She looked amazing. It made for the best editorial spread.)
So voila. Say hello!
Everything starts with a brief and a hello.
